Joseph Meek did not marry twice, there are 2 joseph meek's
1) joseph meek 1771 married hannah baldwin:

Sorry Jim,shows how confused I am, the Joseph Meek I have info about was born 1776 and he married Hannah Baldwin who was born in 1779, I do not know when they married,this is such a fantastic site,I was sure someone would know, I received my info from some one from the Forest, thanks again Mariane

Are you talking about yet another Joseph Meek who married Hannah Baldwin ?

You say marrying in 1779.

Joseph Meek 1771 married Hannah Baldwin baptised 30 May 1779 at Newland 8 June 1801, they had 10 children spanning 1801 to 1821.

Joseph Meek baptised 1 Dec 1782 married Hannah Cooke baptised 18 Mar 1792 at Ruardean 13 May 1809, they had 13 children spanning 1810 to 1829.

What I don't know is the parents of Joseph Meek 1771. Two candidates on the parish records, both baptised at Weston under Penyard, one baptised 1774 to George & Elizabeth, one baptised 1776 to John & Sarah. Perhaps someone could identify his parents.
