It would seem that james would possibly be the brother of joseph who incidently was called jos as stated in results, Now I can search for josephs parents and brothers and sisters.
Joseph by the way is my great, great, great grandad

Hi I am looking for info on Joseph Lodge b 1786 His wife was Ann and in the 1841 census they lived in west dean. I have uncovered a name and date sake born in Churcham but although Churcham is not too far away I am tending to stay in Lydbrook, Ruardean area, Maybe I`m being too close minded?
If I could narrow down his birth then this would help.
