<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If the death was sudden, violent, suspicious, etc , then there may well have been a  formal Inquest and a local newspaper report of the Inquest.</p>
<p>Given his age and the message on the headstone there might be.</p>

<title>Richard ROBERTS 1815 - 1841 (reply)</title>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thank you slowhands - These are the records of my relative - I was hoping to find out the cause of his accident/death - he does not appear to be involved with a pit disaster so was it was a result of an isolated incident. I wondered if there were any records of such single accident events !</p>

<title>Tredegar Coal Mine Accident</title>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Richard Roberts - son of Anthony &amp; Sarah - born 1815 in Ruardean was - according to a head stone insciption - killed in an accident at Tredegar Mine on April 12th 1841 age 26yrs<br />
I have looked on the Coal Mining History Rescource Centre - no record found.<br />
Has anyone suggestion as to where I might look to find a record of Richards accident/death</p>
