Interestingly - just above the JACOBS on the 1861 census for Bream, there is a family of BIRT's - all born in Bream

Thomas - Head - age 39 (other census state he was born in Whitecroft, Glous.)
Harriett - 32
Sarah Ann Birt - 13
Thomas - 11
Harriet - 7
Eliza - 3
Herbert - 1

Thanks everyone never thought of looking for Lockett on the 1881 census but the names of the children do match with the 1891. I found an Ellen Jacobs marriage in 1874 Jan-Mar Glos 6a 427 but could find no match for Solomon Pockett for the same date range. Have found the one for Solomon for the months Apr-Jun but no match for Ellen.

Ellen Matilda JACOBS and Solomon POCKETT marriage

I am trying to trace the marriage of Ellen Matilda Jacobs to Solomon Pockett.
Ellen was born abt 1853 in Berkley to John and Ann(Bosworth) Jacobs. John came from South Cerney and Ann came from Arlingham. Ellen must have been married between 1871 and 1881 as her first child was born abt 1875. Solomon was an A B Seaman and is shown on the 1881 census as being married, but he is listed as being on board ship. I can find no trace of Ellen on the 1881 census under the names of Jacobs or Pockett but she does appear on the 1891 census as Rockett,listed with Ann Jacobs and living in Bream.Can anyone help.
