The only other bit of info I have on William Edwards (apart from the Christening and the Marriage) is that he appears on the 1841 census aged 89 living in Newland on his own. As the census entry and the Marriage put his birth in 1752 I have assumed that the Christening (got via Ancestry, not on this site) in 1752 is the same William Edwards.

If it helps, William & Esther went on to have the following children:-

I have a relative William Edwards who married Esther Wood 17th Nov 1781 in Newland. This is confirmed via the parish records on this site. After that it gets a little vague and I've made a few assumptions. Can anyone expand or correct the below ?

Everyone was born in Woolaston and the children were baptised at St Briavels.

The thing is, family members swear that there was another child called Charles Edwards who people remember as a grown man (so he didnt die young). I just cant find any record of him which is surprising as there is lot of detail for the other children. Can anyone help ?
