MY GRANDPARENTS FRANK GREEN AND MABLE, (NEE GILES) LIVED IN LEA BAILEY LODGE IN THE WAR YEARS.
THERE WAS ONLY A FEW BIT OF THE CABIN LEFT AND MUCH OVER GROWN.
I DO KNOW THE EXACT LOCATION.

I'd start with these two back copies of New Regard that chart the history of the Lodges - with photos and maps in many cases.

Good afternoon,

Does anyone have any photographs or history on the Lea Bailey Lodge and Crabtree Lodg ( Cinderford.

My GG Grandfather( George Brammer) and Family both lived in them as Crowns Woodsmen

However I have very little info on these build which I now believe Lea Bailey has now been destroyed.

Previously they were at the Reddings in Staunton. circa mid 1800's to early 1900's

I look forward to your responses.

Hi slowhands, Many many thanks for the information I really appreciate this, I have been trying to find info on the Smalls as I know that my birth mother was living at Coleman cottages during the war time [1942/3] and went into what I now know to be the old workhouse. Her fathers name was John, but as I do not have a birth certificate or adoption papers its very difficult. Kind Regards Cassie.
