Hello,

I have a link to your ancestor George Powell as his mother HARRIET POYNER(1831 - 1874) is part of my family. I am decended from the brother of her father GEORGE POYNER (1790-1861).

This branch of the POYNER family hails from TAYNTON but Harriet's father George moved to Llanwarne, and lived also Kingston and surrounding villages.

I have found 7 children as previously shown. Sarah, Mary Ann, William, Esther, GEORGE, Alice Harriet, Ellen.

Hope you can now expand your knowledge and bulid up a picture of George.

I saw the name Catherine POWELL in one of the messages and although the one you mentioned was born too soon to be the one I`m looking for ,I wondered if there were any more Catherines in that family-one of an age to havehad a child in 1874. That was when my paternal grandmother was born and I only know her mother was called Catherine POWELL. As there was no father recorded, she remains my "brick wall" as well as my great grandmother
Any information gratefully received

George POWELL was my great Grandfather, unfortunately my Mum does not know very much about him. I know that he was born in Kingston in about 1867 and married Edith (surname unknown).

Does anyone have any information they could share on either of them?
