without starting a search the fact that you are having difficulty in this time frame suggests a Non conformist tradition - does that fit with anything you already know ?

Thomas Williams & Esther James, Lydney

Hi,

Iam hoping for the additional information on this couple. They married on the 25th November 1844 in Lydney. Thomas's father was Leonard Williams, a sailor, and Esther's father was John, a labourer.
I believe that Thomas was born around 1817, but would love to find his baptism or even locate him, with or without his family on the 1841 census. Likewise with Esther.
On the 1851 census they appear to have a daughter, Charlotte, born about 1850 in West Dean, although I can't find a baptism. She doesnt appear on the 1861 census with them, although I can't find a death!
Can anybody help!!
