Thank you for this posting. I am interested about the marriage listing you posted for Anne Tudor and Thomas Herbert in 1761. Thomas is the oldest ancestor in my tree and I am trying to track down his parents, birthplace, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I saw for the first time a reference to Llangattock here on your page and I am wondering if you could help me understand your chart a bit better. Is Llangattock intended to be his birthplace? The 1871 census looks an attempt at Llantilio, I think the significant name in this family and there are several Isaac Herberts scattered around Monmouthshire, at Llangwm, Penalt, Monmouth & Dixton.

I have researched all the Herbert families in the Llandenny area but dont have an Ann born abt 1797, I will have a look at her birthplace on the census.

1881 census it is Llandana( with Car in the margin)

looks more like Llandillo in 1871 (Landdillo) , but 1861 claims Monmouthshire - so how about Llandenny ?

In the 1851 census, my 3xg grandmother, Ann Parsons (nee Herbert), says that she was born in East Dean in about 1796, but in the 1851 census she gives her birthplace as Monmouthshire, and in 1881 census it is Llandana, Sth Wales.
I know this would be outside the FoD but I have been unable to find Llandana in Wales.
Does anyone have any idea where it could be? Has anyone else come across it?
