Can't be sure but Charlotte Waite may be one of my wider family. Time and place matches.

Baptised Newnham 25May1834, Living with Aunt Anne in 1851 census. Sewdley.

Parents Samuel Waite and Elizabeth Vaughan. He born c1791, her c1802 (Decd by 1861).

I have recently begun to trace my family. Mary Ann Bedney gave birth to Francis Charles Bedney 1873. She lived in Bradley Hill East Dean. However there is no indication of a Father. Francis Charles was Father to Henry Charles Bedney who is my Grandfather, married to Edith Firth of Barnsley. Henry was a bricklayer
Pretty sure that Alfred Brain is connected.

Jean Margarete Bedney married Reginald Austin Lovitt, my mother and father.

I'm trying to find information about my great grandfather Elijah Martin (or Alfred)Brain. He was born about 1881 and married Alice Vedmore. I have located him in the 1891 census and the 1911 census but cannot find any record of him in the 1901 census.

He was born in Bailey, or East Dean to Alfred Brain and Mary Ann Bedney.

Any help on finding more information about him would be much appreciated.
