The Crawshays built some large houses for their workforce, the best known being Rock House near St Johns Church, Cinderford.  I think the Colliery manager for Foxes Bridge / Lightmoor lived here.<br />
Old Stone quarry nearby (hence Rock ?) St Johns church is built on &quot;Cinderford Tump&quot;</p>
