Edward & Mary are my 4x gt grandparents through Richard's brother John down to my grandfather, Thomas David Smith 1886-1967

They are the same event - one in Coleford register and one in Newland register. Newland is the "parent" parish and Coleford was a "child" church of Newland.

There are two baptism records for Richard Smith son of Edward and Mary, both dated 14 July 1793. ID: 263895 says residents of Coleford and the baptism took place in Newland and ID: 100242 has no residence and baptism in Coleford. Are they the same Richard Smith?
