Brilliant...id like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for all this information, given me a really great "foot up" on this family tree....going to go back now and try to do the same on the Farmer line as i'm only 3 generations in there (William Farmer from Herefordshire born 1818 married Charlotte) as it was 2 generations later that the hambridge line came in.

So anyway thanks once again...great work

The name lives on in the area, coming out of Lechlade is Hambidge Lane.
From the centre of Lechlade take the A361 North towards Burford. After about half a mile Hambidge Lane is a left turn by a fish and chip shop which goes to Eastleach, Hatherop and Southrop.

Filkins, north of Lechlade via the A361, is another location very close by associated with HAMBIDGE
