My gr.gr.grandfather William Yemm married Emma Smart early 1800's but I cannot find any information on Emma Smart except that she had a child named Sarah Smart. Can anyone help please. Or any information on the Yemm family.

You may also need to look at the surname "Imm" as I have found it is often interchangeable with Yemm.

I came across a Yemm burial in the Littledean churchyard last year (Sept) if its of any help.

Details: No. 102 Peter, the son of Peter & Elizabeth Yemm, died March 14, 1826, age 29.

Please can anyone tell me about my grandfather John James Yemm and his
father John Yemm who was married to julia Thomas. My mothers name was
Caroline Julia Yemm. My grandad always said there was a Romany connection
but I can't find anything except Sarah Smart married William Yemm in the
early 1800's and I think Smart is a Romany name but I'm not sure about that.
I also think that William Yemm might have been my gr.gr Grandad.
