Thanks for your reply. I thought Ann as well - but since have discovered it was probably Elizabeth Hatton. They married 4 May 1840 at Newland.


I think William's grandfather was Thomas Kear and Harriett Griffiths who married 19 Feb 1816 at Newland.

I could be wrong of course - still feeling my way with this family...
