francis george clark was witness to my parents wedding.William H.Clark and Elizabeth Clark. April 1932 at woolaston church
William born 1895, brothers,edward,leonard,percy,tom.
sisters violet,gladys,and mary
they apparently lived in the Tan house

Hi. Reluctantly, I must accept your conclusion. However there are some remarkable similarities in the families' historys.My grandfather and both his brothers all moved from Woolaston to Wimbledon or Battersea. The eldest, William, went around 1880, married an Ann Boalch, had a son Thomas Edward in Wimbledon, but later moved back to Woolaston where 4 more children were born.The second went to Earlsfield/Battersea and had a dairy business. My grandparents went from the Tan House Woolaston to Wimbledon around the turn of the century and stayed. I was born and brought up in Wimbledon.

I don't think your Clarks of Woolaston and my Clarks of Woolaston are related as my line came from Brixton and Wimbledon before moving back to Woolaston. My Great Grandfather John William Clark was born in Wimbledon to a John Robert Clark and Ann (nee Barber). Ann was from Woolaston and came back after her marriage brokedown, she is listed at Woolaston in 1891 & 1901. Jihn William married Kate Thorn who was the daughter of the Blacksmith at the Blacksmith Arms of Alvington.My Clarks resided at The Reddings where up until recently his daughter Mary was still living.
My Biddle connection comes through my Granmothers cousin Mabel Robins who married Will Hugh Biddle.

I'm puzzled by your name if you haven't a link to the Clark name. Our contact with the Biddles existed at least from the early 1900s through the 1930s. I remember being taken to visit them (presumably Tom Biddle) somewhere in 1937 to 1939. jfc

My family came from Woolaston at that time, although I am pretty sure we have no link with the Clark name we might have one through the Biddle line as my Robins line married into it.

My grandfather Francis Clark & great grandfather Job Thomas Clark lived in Woolaston & my father Francis Charles was born in the Tan House there in 1896. I believe also that a cousin, Derek Clark, owned some land there in the Mid-20th Century.I am trying to find out whether there are any Clark descendants still living in the area.There was also a connection between the Clarks and the Biddle family who owned Naas house in the early 20th century and who I understand, still farm in the area. A Tom Biddle was best man at my parents' wedding in Norfolk in 1929.
