I suggest you visit the area around Speech House. There are lots of good walks, a sculpture trail and lots more. If your family were fishermen or worked on the river I suggest you try and find your way down to the waters edge. It really makes you wonder about the river and the huge part it played on many families in the forest.

Finally I shall be returning to the Forest of Dean in May.
Whilst the main reason is seeing the villages the family
lived in and finalising research for the family tree,I intend
to spend time sight seeing any suggests please.
