I have looked on teh 1911 census for a Florence Christie and there is nothing.

There are pages of John/William John Williams do you have a date of birth for John to narrow it down a bit?

Hi thanks for all your reply`s, if someone could look at the 1911 census for John Williams or Florence Christie, i know that in 1913 they were living at 54 Dock Street newport wales. but i also have the feeling that John Williams might have been named William John Williams, as the only john williams i can find with father Isaac is a William John Williams also a miner. Williams is like looking for a Smith, too many of them.

Certainly seems possible Find my past has Florence as DOWLTON with George and Sarah Williams

Found a death on FreeBMD for a George Williams reg. Dec 1/4 1907 Monmouth age 49, so Sarah marrying Thomas Christie Newport Mar 1/4 1909 could well be his widow.

still no Florence or Thomas. i had the marriage info already thats why i new her fathers name was thomas. as will the Williams side, their were 14 boys but some died shortly after birth.

i belive she lived all her married life in Newport M Gwent.
her father Thomas was a miner, her husbans father was also a miner.

Finding a good match for Florence is proving difficult.

Did she remain in Newport for her married life ?

She "appears" to have married at age 18 - this can raise questions about how accurate the declared age is - Is it possible that she is the Florence born approx 1898 dies 1980 , hence she was 15/16 at marriage ??
