Hello new on here,I was born and live in Gwent South Wales.My Grandfather James Dobbs came from the Forest of Dean and was a coalminer.Looking for some info on family tree etc.He came to work in Aberbargoed Glamorgan about 1908 I believe.All of us worked in the mines at some point in our lives .Thanks.

I can see one from Coleford In Pontypridd in 1911 but not in Aberbargoed; and Pencoed in 1901

Sorry I think this burial is not right as John Dobbs was living at Lane End in 1871, but his wife Amelia is shown as a widow on the 1881 census. This would make 1890 too late.

Not sure if it is the correct John Dobbs on the baptism record ?
My John Dobbs states born abt.1810 or 1811 in West Dean on at least three census.
There is another John Dobbs born abt.1813 in Newland.
Does the baptism record cover West Dean or Newland ?

I think the death record for Amelia is right

Thank you for the details. It looks the correct marriage !
Problem arose when I checked for others researching John Dobbs and found a couple of people with the same names in the family children but linked to John Dobbs born abt.1813 in Newland.
Think some-one has spotted my family history on Ancestry.com and lifted the information without checking ? John Dobbs, I think there are possibly THREE in Gloucestershire about the same dates.
