Noah Mason is the 1st cousin 3 times removed of Winifred Mason. As there are more than one line of Mason's involved, the link between Noah Mason & Charles Enoch Mason can be reached in a number of ways. Here is one (not perhaps the most direct, but it is the way I documented it !!)

Go back one generation from Noah Mason 1837, to his parents Thomas Mason 1804 & Zilpah Chivers 1809, go back another generation to Thomas Mason's parents George Mason & Mary Tippins. Their sons Nathaniel 1798 & Benjamin 1811 both go the right way - Benjamin 1811 married Olivia Cooksey 1811 and they had 5 children including Mary Ann Mason 1839 she married George Mason 1833 son of Nathaniel Mason 1798 & Elizabeth Robbins, they had a son Nathaniel Mason 1864 who married Elizabeth Rudge 1867 - They had a son Charles Enoch Mason 1889 who married Margaret Jane Daniels 1888 - parents of Winifred Mary Mason who married Sidney Foley.

Looking at the thread that Slowhands has provided a link for, brought about a touch of De Ja Vu for me as the Daily Mail serialised Winifred's latest book in March this year, having serialised another which started that thread in March 2009.
