I'm looking for any information on Fanny Smith daughter of John Smith and Elizabeth Virgo of Blakeney. I can trace her by the census to 1881 in Pitching Green but nothing after that.

In the Blakeney Section of photographs - I have contributed a photograph of Furnace Valley, Blakeney. Assume this is the same area as Old Furnace Bottom ? - On the 1861 census, the Smith family are quite near to the Tump House (Beer House) run by Henry ADAMS, Beer House Keeper. Present address is Old Tump House, New Road, Blakeney. I am sure John enjoyed a 'pint or two' after work in the Tump!

Wow slowhands, you are amazing!! This all seems to fit. It is very hard from here to trace people with limited knowledge of places etc. But this would all fit as on William's Death Certificate is says his father was a miner.

I am tracing my husband's great grandfather William Smith who was born according to his death certificate in Blakeney about 1862. His father is John and his mother Elizabeth (no maiden name). He emigrated to Australia sometime before 1902 where he owned and operated a number of hotels.
