Trafalgar Colliery (reply)

Borrow a copy of Ralph Anstis's book "Diary of a Working Man" from a local library. This is the day to day diary of Bill Williams who worked in the stores at the colliery and mentions some of the middle to senior people at the mine

Mining Employment Records (reply)

From previous discussions here in the forum on the subject it appears that very few Mining Employment Records have survived.

The Gloucestershire Archives do not appear to hold any relevant information.

The Gage Library at the Dean Heritage Museum is probably your best source. Terry James posted a message that they do have records for the Princes Royal (PARK GUTTER) For the 1930s Perhaps they have them for the years earlier.
http://www.deanheritagemuseum.com/gage_library.html

If you do find out what Employment records the Gage Library hold then please let us know.

Trafalgar Colliery (reply)

Hello Paul,
I don't know the answer to your question but you might like to look at the inquest transcript on this site for Richard Whittington in 1875. It lists witnesses and maybe some were management. By coincidence I sent a query to the forum about the inquest a few days ago.
Good luck with your research,
Lesley
