I have the first two, Alice (1890) and Edith Annie (1892), then I am stuck for the next, then I have Thyrza Beatrice (1896), Florence Elizabeth (1898) and Mary Tugela (1900). The 1891 census only shows Alice and by the 1901 census their mother had died and the girls had all been scattered in the locality. Have nothing on the 1894 child and haven't found Thyrza Beatrice or Mary Tugela's guardians. Can anyone help?

The first Tugela could be a possible but I don't feel that Bevan is part of the family. Throughout Alice's life I never met Tugela and my father never mentioned her as an aunt so she must have moved very far away or died. I'm sure if tugela had been living in FOD until 1983 I would have met her. I used to stay a lot with florrie in Cinderford and Alice lived with us until she died at 93 and neither of them mentioned seeing Tugela. Sorry if this is rambling but this is my reasoning.

Alice, Edith and Florence I think are correct but not Beatrice and Tugela. My understanding of it is that the daughters were all born between about 1890 and 1900. Alice was the eldest and Florrie was the youngest. I understood that Mary Ann, the mother, died in childbirth of Florrie which is why Alice, in the 1901 census, was living with her Uncle and Aunt Thomas and Sarah jordan. The other sisters were known as Beatrice, Tugela and Mabel(May) so these were probably their first names. This is all from memory and might not be completely accurate but I don't think Mary Ann lived to see the 1901 census. Thanks for all the info you have given me. I need to digest it all now.

I think she married in 1912. Her mother was Mary Ann Holder who married George Cooper in 1888. She had 5 sisters but I haven't found them on a census.
