I have just recently moved to the area but have admired Stroat House on previous visits. I was told by one of my local neighbours that many years ago there had been a murder at the house, is this right? The only mention I can find of anything similar is a shooting accident in 1977 to Phyllis Watts, does anyone have any more information?
