hi was reading the post if i can help im the great grand son of Joseph Baldwin married to Geridwin Griffiths! her sisters were Barbara Alma and Megan Owen who died in world war 2 i also have Owen's medals they mother was Katie Griffiths known as aunty Katie and my grandfathers name is Brian Baldwin he also has 2 brothers terry and Keith and a sister called Moreen also there was a cousin called Raymond Baldwin i think we the same family! if i can be any help! as i know we have roots in the forest of dean and Essex

Slowhands This is my first post on here. I came to this forum to look for my Baldwin family from Dymock and saw the reply you gave to a stranger giving SO much information including census footprint. You are an incredibly generous person to do that. Perhaps people aren't supposed to say thank you on here? I was very impressed.

My greatgrand father was Joe Baldwin too. My grandfather was Percys half brother, Edwin Charles Baldwin.Edwins mother was Mary. Joes first wife. I went to Joes grave when I went back to Pontypridd a few weeks ago. My father and I have put a cross on the grave. Joe, Mary and son William age 4 are buried there.

Definitely getting warmer. My father has just corrected me on Percy's death which was after my birth but he can't immediately remember if it was 1966 or 1967. His marriage to Annice is correct and they had two daughters, Gloria (1929) and Pamela (1931) who is my late mother. And yes, you have Pam's marriage to my father David. Thanks for the info - how do you get it so quickly?
