John EVANS 1805 -1842 (reply)

Slowhands

I will be replying to your entry for the following thread - with link shown, which has helped me enormously, but as ever there are interesting links which I need to check out. I have added a link to that thread here:

http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?mode=thread&id=26851

In my response I mentioned in connection with the Yemm family that Edith Morgan was the first wife of Simeon Yemm - copied in italics :

A number of the Coal Mining families who emigrated to the Illinois Coalfields lived together, indeed at one time Timothy Yemm lived with Moses Yemm & Simeon Yemm - 3 Yemm families in one house. Simeon Yemm eventually married a Mary Ann Yemm a second wife after the death of Edith Morgan in 1883.

Edith Morgan was the daughter of Thomas Morgan 1826 and Harriett Wheeler 1831

I previously only knew that her father was Thomas Wheeler, Blacksmith.

So thanks yet again Slowhands
