CAPPER Family (reply)

I guess its to be expected if they are old burials. We would like to find some headtones from 1950 backwards. The man in Question Henry W C Capper passed away in the 1940's so Im guessing there should be a headstone located somewhere.

Thanks

Dont be too disappointed if not - in my family the first headstones that I have seen are only from the mid 1930's. I know from oral history roughly where in certain graveyards "some" are laid to rest, and they are unmarked / no stone work graves..

However they still existed - census, BMD, inquests, newspaper articles - and are still very "real" to me :-)

Capper family. Lassington (1901 Census) (reply)

The neighbouring parishes of Hartpury and Corse are worth researching regarding the Capper family (who are too numerous to mention - records from 1793 onwards) which I am sure are related to the Lassington Capper family. Lassington was an extremely small community and much of the teneted farm land was farmed by families in Hartpury and Corse and vice versa.
