I have John Malson in my family tree as two offspring are related; Ann Malson 1829 married my 4th cousin 3 times removed Moses Meek 1832, Mary Ann Malson married my 3rd cousin 3 times removed David Baldwin 1833.

Whilst I usually record parents and siblings of spouses, sometimes I have too much information to record and in those cases I enter the data into a research field, in case of further need. Hi,Thank you all who replied to my initial request,and the info supplied is valuable,however i am still strugling in my search .
I have now done a further search in 1841 and 1851 censuses of the variations as follows Malson,Melson[as baptismal records],Milson [as in St Briavels records],Molson,Malsom,and Malsen to no avail .
Does anyone have further suggestions that i may persue?

Hi,
I Have found John Malson,maybe the one i have been looking for ,for several years.He was baptised at Mitcheldean Cong Chapel 6th APR 1827 ,but Surname MELSOM ?
The parents of John are William Malson and Sarah Newton Hunt they were married in Abenhall 17th march 1821 and appear to have had 5 children ,Three of them are on the 1851 census for Abenhall @ Lady Grove {James the first born is probably married } But I can't find John On 1841 or 1851 census's,he was later married in 1852 at RHYMNEY MONS.
As the Malsons are very thin on the ground has anyone done a one name list of those that do exist?
Does anyone have information please.
Brilliant site if only each county did the same it would make life easier for "we out of Area People"
