Thomas Hopkins born Gatcombe

I wonder whether anyone can help.I'm trying to put together my grandmothers family tree. Her name was Delia White. My great grandfather was Wyndham Henry Hopkins who was born in Caldicot, his father was Thomas Hopkins who was born in Gatcombe but came to Wales which is where this line of the family resides now. I believe he worked on the railways as an engine driver. I think his father was Thomas Hopkins who possibly married a Mary Ann. I'm finding it quite hard to trace him. I believe there are connections with Awre, Etloe and Westbury on Severn. Grateful for any help.
