Hannah COWMEADOW - Moorwood/Lydbrook (reply)

Hannah COWMEADOW who married Barzila MEEK to the same parents of my Mary Ann & Hannah

I "understand" that this Hannah is the daughter of James C and Mary Tingle - being the Moorwood ( Lydbrook) Cowmeadow line.

http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?id=15988

http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?id=1646 - however this James was born about 1786 and is not the Ruardean james ( at least as far as I and others can tell )

COWMEADOWS of Redbrook

Hi
I have poured over the threads concerning the COWMEADOW familes and wondered if someone can make sense of my info for me.

I decend from MARY ANN COWMEADOW bn 1815 in Redbrook parents were James COWMEADOW & Elizabeth (maybe Williams?). Mary Ann had a sister Hannah also bn Redbrook 1815. I believe this could be the Hannah that married Barzila MEEK, But there is also a death for a Hannah COWMEADOW aged 10 mths in 1816 residence given as "the parish of Newland".

Mary Ann COWMEADOW went on to marry Joseph NICHOLLS in 1836 in Walsall Staffs. Mary went on in every census giving Redbrook as her birthplace. Joseph NICHOLLS occupation throughout his life was "a tinman" (and as i have seen Redbrook had a Tinworks, so possibly he met her while working in the area?)

Now it looks like James COWMEADOW must have died (the one buried in English Bicknor in 1816 ? or too far away ?)The widow Elizabeth COWMEADOW then marries George ROBINS/ROBBINS in 1817 at Newland, going on to have Thomas 1818, William 1822, & Ann 1830.

There is a marriage of a Jacob ROBINS where Hannah MEEK is the witness - coincidence ? But the previous threads don't match Hannah COWMEADOW who married Barzila MEEK to the same parents of my Mary Ann & Hannah.

Have I got this family in a muddle, could someone give me a helping hand.

Jayne
