Hi - I have just joined this site. All my maternal family come from the Forest and the surnames are mainly Griffiths, Cowmeadow and Powell. I have a Reginald Cowmeadow who had a sister called Nellie and parents called John and his wife Bertha Willett. Does this information match yours?

When I first looked at this thread I didn't know the people to which it referred. However, I read further and thanks to your brilliant investigative work, noted John Cowmeadow 1884 son of James Cowmeadow 1846 & Leah Bower 1848. Whilst I have 157 Cowmeadows in my family tree, I was not related to James Cowmeadow 1846, but am 4th cousin 4 times removed from Leah Bower. My interest changed.

Following the investigation, I discovered that I am also related to Beatrice Minnie Pritchard via her great grand parents Cornelius Baldwin 1862 & second wife Annie Matthews 1871 who were also related via Cornelius 1862's mother Ann Meek 1836.

I should perhaps end on a Marfell note !! Cornelius Baldwin's two wives were sisters, Emily Jane Matthews 1861/1888 and second wife Annie Matthews 1871. They had a brother Caleb Matthews 1852 who married Ada Jane Marfell 1858.
