Forest of Dean FHT Forum - Frederick CLARKE c. 1860 https://forum.forest-of-dean.net/ Connecting Forest of Dean Researchers World-Wide en Frederick CLARKE c. 1860 In the 1871 census, Richard Clarke (b. 1820, Blakeney Hill) and Sarah Ann Clarke (b. 1832, Somersetshire) are living with their youngest daughter at Blakeney Hill. Living with them is a "lodger", an 11 year old called Frederick Clarke, born in West Dean.

I am assuming, currently without much foundation, that he is a nephew of Richard's.

Can anyone fill in any of the blanks or account for Frederick generally?

Since most of the family seemed to be in hiding during the 1861 census I am hoping that perhaps by following the few leads that I have that I might manage to smoke someone out!
