This is likely my ggreatgrandmother. My greatgrandmother stated that her family was from Hereford. Her birth certificate states George Wallbe and the former Ann Miles.

LITTLE DEWCHURCH, a parish in the hundred of Wormelow, in the county of Hereford, 6 miles S.E. of Hereford. It is situated near a branch of the river Wye, under Aconbury Hill.

Thanks! I appreciate the help. My great-grandmother Alice Ann Walby born 1860 has Ross on Rye on her birth certificate. I was in the area in 1999 and found my Hatton side but not my Walbys. On her birth record it states George Wallbe as the father and the former Ann Miles as the mother. I was fortunate enough to know my great-grandmother but too young to ask many questions. I believe she told me [I was 7 years old] that her family came from Hereford, possibly her mother's side? I can't find anything on the Miles family. Again thank you for taking your time to assist me as well as others.

My great-grandmother was Alice Ann WALBY born 1860 lived in Ryeford. Her father was George WALBY and her mother Ann MILES. I'd like to follow this line back but am stuck at George Walby.
