<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Elsie Bayliss was my Grandmother and George Powell was my Grandfather. I never knew him because he died in 1945. Elsie (died 23/04/1989) and George (1894-1945) had 4 children, George 05/07/1919 - 01/04/84, Olive 1923 - 19/03/85, Kathleen 1925 - 25/10/93, and Cyril 17/03/1933. Cyril is my Dad and still alive and living in Tasmania with my Mum Angela (nee Phelps). I still live in Gloucester.</p>

I just seemed to hit a brick wall as to how auntie elsie reverted to Bayliss from 1927 on when my mother was born.  Just sorry I didn't get to meet their son George although have been to Lydney many times as my grandmother, uncle (also George strangely!) and aunt have their ashes scattered in the forest of dean.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>my grandmother was Dorothy Bayliss and her sister Elsie Bayliss.  I have found through records that my Aunt Elsie married someone called George  Powell in 1916 and went on to have children.  I have spoken to my mum (Dorothy Thomas) and she can only remember Aunt Elsie looking after her father and did not know she was married.  I can find the wedding but can find no trace after 1917 of George Powell.  Can anyone help?  Many thanks</p>
