I am carrying out some research into the Forest of Dean Miners Association from 1912 -1920. Reuben James comes up in the records as a very committed and active union man. I was wondering if your grandfather is the same person as I would be very interested in finding out more information about him.

Reuben is my great grandfather. Alice was buried on 24th Feb 1929 so he could be the Reuben you are looking for.

Reuben James married Millicent Clara Watts (nee Gifford) on 7 June 1930 at Pillowell Primitive Methodist Church. It was the second marriage for both of them. The marriage certificate states that Reuben was the son of Jephthah James of Pillowell (deceased). I am trying to trace the parentage of Reuben, I thought that tracing such an unusual name like Jephtah or Jepta would be easy but there are one or two contenders on the Parish Records and Ancestty. Any help would be appreciated.
