I beleive my Gt Gt |Gt Grandmother was Sophia Baldwin. In the 1871 census she appears to be living in 'Baldwins Wood' in the parish of Linton. There is a Baldwins wood shown on OS maps near Beavans Hill.
Does anyone know whether the name of Baldwins Wood would have come from the Baldwin family or possibley the other way round?
