Where is Trow Green (reply)

Hi
it's me again on second thoughts as you mention East Dean forget Trow Green as that is in West Dean. In the Lydbrook area is a place called Joy's Green which is between Lydbrook and Ruardean both these have churchyards.

Where is Trow Green (reply)

Hi sylvia

Trow Green is between Bream and Coleford on the B4231 where this road joins the Coleford - Chepstow road B4228
There are only a couple of houses and a Farm here.
There is no burial ground there the nearest are St James Bream, The Parish church
at Clearwell, or the Church at St Briavels.

hope this helps

Where is Trow Green (reply)

Hi
Thanks for sending that. Ive looked at the site but I still cant work out if its near Lydbrook or not. It doesnt seem as if it is. I was looking for a record of the burial of my 2x great grandfather John JONES(born c 1810) and the one at Trow Green looked the likeliest.Thomas, the son of his wife (Margaret JONES) was recorded in his baptism (1853,East Dean) as being illegitimate but her previous children were not
