Looking at the Burial Index 1800 onwards - some NEWTH's were buried at Shortwood Baptist including

Charles NEWTH in 1811

On 6/5/1798 Charles the son of Jacob and Ann Newth ( Nuith according to PRs ) was baptised at Wootton under Edge.

This is an ancestor of someone I have met and she is stuck on that baptism, my interest being the Newths of Dursley who I am decended from.

I have some Dursley PRs and I can't see a Jacob baptised or married there in the correct time frame so I suspect we aren't related but I am trying to help her go further back.

She knows this baptism is correct as she has Charles army records which show his date and place of birth.

I wonder if anyone can find a marriage for Jacob and Ann and any other information about them. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
