Ann/e Freeman 1830 ish geography help pls (reply)

Hi

Witnesses at marriage of James Wright to Ann Freeman in 1853, were C Stockham and Ann Bevan. I see in 1851 that the daughter of Abergavenny Workhouse Master was Ann Bevan. I wonder how likely it is to be the right one. Could it be possible that Ann Bevan and Ann Freeman became friends when Ann Freeman went in to workhouse to have her child?

Just my luck, no admission/discharge registers for the dates I need!

Oh well, look for another route then.

Ann/e Freeman 1830 ish geography help pls

Sorry posying separately to other post as I'm not sure if I've confused things by bringing my earlier post back to the top!

Hi
I now have a copy of a baptism Tom Owen Freeman, Feb 1852, born to Anne, (with an 'e') Freeman, no father named. Residence is given as Union Monmouth.

I believe that this is very likely Thomas Freeman b 1852 as listed on the census, detailed later on this post.

I'm hopeless at Geography! Given the Ann Freeman's found on census at Abergavenny & Llanfoist, is the workhouse in the right area? Trying to track down which is the most plausible Ann /Anne on the 1851 census.

Thanks

Simone x
