I think the image is HUBERT in 1871 , and recorded as Albert in 1881

Albert/Herbert Brain 1865

Working on the children of John Brain (abt 1833) and his wife Melinda.
On 1871 Census (name spelt Bran) it shows a Herbert Brain son age 6 born abt 1865 East Dean. There is no further mention of a Herbert on next census but on 1881 Census it shows an Albert Brain son age 16 Coal Miner born abt 1865.
I checked both census and the names are correct - Herbert on 1871 and Albert on 1881.
A family member sent me a record of a marriage of Albert Brain to Mary Ann Reed with children Josiah 1892 - Sidney 1894 - William 1896
Francis 1899 - Elizabeth 1899.
BUT, it gives his birth date as 1867. I checked the census and found that there was an Albert Brain born abt 1867, son of James Brain (abt 1841) and his wife Elizabeth.
Could the marriage record I have be for the Albert Brain son of James and Elizabeth.
Are Albert and Herbert the same person?. I can find no record of them after 1881.
I did find a marriage record of a Herbert Charles Brain born 1865 Q2, registered in Keynsham but am not sure if this is the correct person. Has anyone any records of this person? Regards Jean Herbert
