I have swapped e mails with Christine and she has now amended her posting. Apparently some of the original message was missing.

We are looking for the parents of John Hiatt b 1828 who married Susan (?) also b 1828. Bertha's 'find' looks pretty good doesn't it?

You say you're looking for 'John parents'.
I don't see how John fits into your post but maybe it's just me!
Did you leave something out with John in?

Hello

I am trying to trace my fathers family tree and have managed to go back to 1828 but i am not having any luck going further back.

My Dads name is Edward Joseph Hiatt born 1928 his parents were Oliver and Alice (nee Matthews)Dads siblings were Leonard Snowden and Betty.Dad married my Mum Sylvia Lambert from Plymouth .They married in Bishops Wood Church 1n 1951.Dad was in the navy they have lived in Plymouth all thier married life but the rest of his family were still in Ruardean area.

My Grandad Oliver was born in 1900 to Thomas and Mary Hiatt his siblings were
William 1899,John 1898,Elsie 1896 and Gladys 1894.Grandad was a miner.

Thomas (my great-great grandfather was married to Susan they were both born in 1828 siblings Emma 1868 and Henry (who was a Malster)Thomas was a Labourer in the Tin Works).Thomas was the son of JOHN AND SUSAN HIATT Susan Hiatt(NEE?) both born 1828.

Iam trying to find the parents of john 1828 any help would be greatly appreciated.

My grandparents Oliver and Alice lived for many years in Spring Cottage Ragmanslade i remember there was a Blacksmiths at the bottom of the lane
