Thank you Slowhands for all the info, it looks like the Mary c1782 you found in the 1851 census with her son is the right family.Though her being listed as originating from Kent is a bit odd.

From the transcribed parish records and the 1841 census on here William Edwards marries a Belinda Jones in 1839 (who dies in 1848) he then marries again in 1871 I think as both show his father as Richard Edwards

Could you tell me if he his still single on the 1861 census, then that would be the right line I think

Help with 3 Mary EDWARDS

My GG grandmother was Mary Meredith Edwards born 11/11/1838 Littledean Hill
She shows up in the 1841 census with her mother Mary c1820 (single)and grandmother Mary c1782(widow)

Have not managed to go back from Mary Edwards c1782 and also wondered if she was still alive in 1851

I think Mary c1820 marries George Lucas

I know Mary Meredith Edwards married Anthony Thomas Roberts on 14/4/1861 but cannot find them on the 1871 census

There is a picture of Mary Meridith Edwards from about 1882 in the November photos section

Hope someone can sort them out a bit for me
