The database actually says the records have been filmed and are available for transcription. I have had a look, but although reasonably clear they are in a hand which is difficult to read. If there is anyone out there skilled at reading 16th Century writing and would be willing to have a go at this register give me a call.

Thanks slowhands. Yes that was the reference that I had already found. I'd misread the available records on this site - looks like I'll have to wait a little longer to confirm her details. Can't find her anywhere else!

I think the records for WuP on this site only go back to 1671 (so far)

Marriage - Weston under Penyard 1596

I have found on the IGI the marriage of 2 of my ancestors at Weston under Penyard on 3 March 1596 and have looked on here to confirm it. The site tells me that all mariages for this period have been transcribed, but I can't find a marriage between John Hodges and Ane Warre. I have a copy of his will and he definitely married an Anne.

John Hodges was from Dymock and they lived there after their marriage. Can anyone else confirm or deny this entry. I realise that the IGI isn't always 100% accurate.
