Many thanks for your reply and for the information. I have been tracing the descendants of Caroline Key's grandparents, Thomas Key and Mary Reynolds for about 10 years now, and am up to about 3000 individuals (including spouses). Whilst I am descended from a different child of Thomas and Mary, I was born not too far away from the Forest, in Cheltenham, so I know the area fairly well. If I'm correct, Eric had 6 siblings:
