HATTON, DNA

My most ancient is:

HATTON, John b. abt 1616 somewhere, married, had children, died in Ruardean.

but where was he from, who were his parents. That is my task.

His descendants have a long history in Ruardean into 1830's and in FOD itself. Several branches have been identified.

Clusters of HATTON's in the 1500's and early 1600's have lived in Dymock, Longdon (see FOD website) and also in Forthampton, and villages nearby. I would appreciate any todays-world HATTON's of these or other villages making contact, so that we can review our connections.

y-DNA testing (Identical Father-to-Son) has become a genealogy tool, validating family connections. My y-DNA is available to any HATTON for comparative purposes.

Jim HATTON
