I can't help with 1841 census but can confirm that Eliza who married a George Teague, is the daughter of William & Ann on 1851 census with children James, Alfred & Fanny. Fany is still at home on 1871 census age 25 parents William & Mary A in Berry Hill. There is also an Elizabeth age 3 grandaughter. On 1881 census for George & Eliza Teague there is an Elizabeth Powell age 13 listed as niece, a coincidence may be.

This George Teague is son of Edward & Elizabeth nee Nelmes.

Hi Just to say that I found Eliza POWELL in the 1851 census.I`ve just bought the 51 CD from Glos. FHS and found it so easy to use its brilliant
Eliza was a servant (at 11) but she seems to be with her grandmother(Ann POWELL)at Berry Hill.

Thanks for that slowhands I have the 1851 entry but as I said earlier I`m looking for his 1841 entry to see if Eliza is with him.As you can see she isnt in the 51 record although she would only have been 11 years old

Thanks slowhands for your message this one isn`t the right one, either. His wife`s name was Mary Ann though its written as Ann or Mary sometimes(just to confuse me further)They were marrried in 1837(May 6th)at English Bicknor. Mary Ann was about 2 years older than William(born 1813christened at Coleford).IN the 1851 census he was living at Berry Hill with wife and children Alfred,James and Fanny. what puzzles me about this entry is the absence of Eliza(born 1840, later married to George TEAGUE)I would like to know if she was with them in 1841(aged about 1)
