He was aged 68. To my knowledge he was the last surviving male of the Herbert family who came to Yorkshire to mine coal in late 1800's. I would like to thank all of the people who have helped me over several years trace his ancestors. I will of course continue to share whatever I have on the Herbert and Phelps family.
