A new Download page has been created which includes PDF files of the Stories and
Articles together with the Miscellaneous Documents which were already on the site.

Wills and Admons which have been supplied by Mike John have been added to the
downloads, not a great number of them at this stage but like Parish Records we
hope to progressively increase this number.

If you have any documents relating to the Forest of Dean that you would like to add
to the collection please send them to us.

Some of you are going to ask "what are these Admons". Well, I wasn't sure of the
definition either, so I did some searching and the following is what I came up with.

Before any property could be distributed the next of kin had to apply to the
court for a letter of administration (shortened to admon). The property could
then be distributed in the way prescribed by the law.
