Thanks for these. I'll take another look on IGI and see if the family disappear from the records in Erdington, and then I think I may have a match. I wonder why the family moved, as it looks a fair distance, but I believe Erdington is on the river Wye, and Ashleworth on the Severn, so maybe it was not as far as it appears.
Appreciate your help, and I'll let you know what I manage to find out.

PHILIPS of Ashleworth

I am trying to find more information on Francis and Elizabeth Philips, who had a number of children in Ashleworth between 1732 and 1749. Both Francis and Elizabeth(Betty) were buried in Ashleworth in February 1763.
I have been unable to find either a marriage record or a birth record for Francis Philips, and would welcome any thoughts or ideas on places to look.
In addition, the children born to the couple also seem to disappear "off the radar" apart from daughter Sarah, who married Jasper Alder in Ashleworth on 11/7/1775. Children were: Betty 1732, William 1738, Mary 1743, Thomas 1745-1746, Sarah 1748 and Timothy 1749. The only later record of the children I have managed to find in Ashleworth is 27/12/1772 when Mary Philips was a witness at the wedding of John Gough and Sarah Mills.
Hoping someone on the list may have some fresh thoughts on this!
