His father also Henry Davis was born about 1806 in the Forest of Dean apparently within the Hub=ndred of Briavel which apparently makes hinm a Freeminer.....all according to long held family belief.

I have been unable to find anything on these two gents not even in the census records until 1901 when Henry William makes an appearance in Pembroke.

I clearly need some guidance as where to look as I am keen to confirm or otherwise the family story. If any kind sole can suggest the way forward I would be grateful.
